This position provides on-site leadership and operational oversight for aquatic programs. The role ensures program continuity, upholds safety and professionalism on deck, manages parent and swimmer flow, and functions as a certified swim instructor capable of stepping into instructional duties as needed. Serving as the primary point of contact for families and staff during assigned shifts, this position ensures all operations run efficiently and effectively.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum age: 18+
• American Red Cross Certification(s): WSI, Lifeguarding, First Aid/CPR/AED
• Prior experience in aquatic instruction and programming
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily program operations and maintain deck organization
• Support instructors, lifeguards, and volunteers while maintaining safe and professional operations
• Manage parent communication and swimmer flow before, during, and after lessons
• Address behavioral, safety, or operational concerns promptly and professionally
• Serve as lead instructor and substitute for any staff absences, including no call/no shows
• Maintain a positive and professional representation of the organization in all interactions
• Ensure classes remain adequately staffed, properly structured, and aligned with curriculum standards
• Report operational updates, incidents, and staffing issues

Swim Instructor $18.25/hour (Age 16 +)
Swim Instructor | $18.25/hour
This position delivers structured, developmentally appropriate swim lessons for participants ranging from 6 months to adults, with a focus on water safety, skill progression, and confidence building. Instructors are responsible for fostering a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment that supports swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum age: 16+
• American Red Cross Certification(s): WSI, Lifeguarding, First Aid/CPR/AED (Lifeguarding preferred)
• Dependability and punctuality for scheduled shifts
• Willingness to learn and support structured aquatic programs
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver swim lesson tailored to participants of various ages/skill levels
• Maintain active supervisor of students in the pool/surrounding deck, enforcing water safety and facility rules
• Recognize and respond promptly to aquatic emergencies, providing first aid and CPR/AED as needed
• Assist with class transition, organize equipment, and support programs in both water and dry-land activities
• Conduct routine safety check of pool equipment and environment before and during lessons Participate in professional development, skill training, and certification updates
• Support general facility upkeep and foster a safe, inclusive, and positive aquatic environment

Aquatics Team Assistant $14.00/hour (Age 14-17)
Aquatics Team Assistant | $14.00
The Aquatics Team Assistant provides operational, administrative, and instructional support within the swim school environment. This is a non-safety, non-lifeguarding role intended for entry-level staff, including minors ages 14–15, and operates under direct supervision of certified adult instructors and/or lifeguards at all times. This position does not include responsibility for swimmer safety, supervision, or rescue, and is strictly limited to non-hazardous dutie
Required Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Customer Support
- Assist with operations, including check-in/check-out of students
- Greet customers and provide general information about programs
- Maintain attendance records and basic administrative documentation
Facility & Program Support
- Set up and break down equipment (kickboards, lane markers, toys, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of pool deck areas (non-hazardous cleaning only)
- Organize and restock supplies
Instructional Assistance (Non-Supervisory)
- Assist instructors during lessons only under direct supervision
- Provide basic support such as handing out equipment or helping guide students under instructor direction
- Observe lessons and assist with transitions between activities
Safety Compliance (Non-Responsibility Role)
- Follow all facility safety rules and staff instructions
- Immediately report any safety concerns to certified staff
- No responsibility for monitoring swimmers, enforcing safety rules, or performing rescues
Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills
- Basic understanding of pool environment safety rules (training provided)
- Ability to follow structured routines and directions from supervisors

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, attentive, and proactive aquatic environment through continuous surveillance and rapid response readiness. The Lifeguard plays a critical role in accident prevention, emergency response, and overall patron safety while supporting the flow of aquatic programming. This role contributes to a positive and professional environment by reinforcing safety standards, supporting instructional staff, and ensuring all participants feel secure in and around the water.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum age: 16+
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (Lifeguarding, First Aid/CPR/AED)
• Strong swimming skills and physical ability to perform rescues
• Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
